HVAC Fan Motor
An AC fan motor operates when electricity is applied to its internal mechanical parts. There are a series of magnets wrapped with wires located inside the HVAC fan motor to change its frequency. Small wires are wrapped around the start motor windings so that it’s easy to activate the fan motor. Once the ideal rpm is achieved by the start windings, thick run windings are able to maintain the correct alternating current on the HVAC fan.
Fan Motor Capacitor
Each residential or commercial fan requires a different capacitor to start the motor. A capacitor stores electrons on lubricated platelets that are used to increase the fan motors torque. Each HVAC fan motor has its own electrical demand. A new fan capacitor should be installed during the ac fan motor replacement to extend its operation. A Capacitor start fan is necessary when there is a heavy heating and air conditioning requirement to be met.
Commercial Fan Motor
The 3-phase air conditioning fan offers dependable and economical power. As part of our commercial heating and air maintenance we check the HVAC fan motor. We inspect the efficient reversible split phase fan motor located inside the roof top package unit to make sure that it is quiet. During the heat service, we inspect the HVAC belt drive motor’s pulley so that the heat pump fan runs efficiently and reliably.
Variable speed Fan Motor
A High Efficiency fan motor is designed to operate at different speeds and replace mechanical parts that can fail. This type of ac fan has a circuit board attached inside of it to detect the pace of the fan. A computerized fan is designed to counter humidity by running longer at slower speeds. When the logic board detects that the HVAC fan is using too much current it quickly slows it down. A frequency controlled fan motor must constantly convert AC to DC to save the owner money.
